Mrs. Arnett was born in Wayne County, Georgia, and had resided in St. Johns County 47 years, moving there from Daytona Beach. She was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. There survive, three daughters, Mrs. B. S. Gamble and Mrs. Belle Sheats, both of Hastings, and Mrs. Lula King of Daytona Beach, and two sons. H. M. Arnett, of New Smyrna, and R. G. Arnett of Hastings; one sister, Mrs. Nancy Williams of Waycross; one brother, Frank Bennett of Jesup, Ga.; 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the residence at Hastings with Elders of the Church of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill East Cemetery, Palatka. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 1 Apr 1938.)
