She was born on July 24, 1946 to Joseph Nelson Bennett and Susie Mae Bennett in Ocala, FL. Gladys was the Owner and Manager of Hungry Bear Drive Inn Restaurant in Ocala, FL. She was a member of Life Tabernacle Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Ocala, FL. Survived by her husband of 39 years James Bates of Florence, AL.; (3) daughters: Amy Shannon and husband Patrick of Seattle, WA., Angela Kleine and husband Kevin of Ocala, FL., Amanda Potts and husband Paul of Ocala, FL.; a son: George Bates and wife Stacey of Ocala, FL; (2) brothers: William "Pete" Bennett of Wildwood, FL. and Roy Bennett of Ocala, FL.; (3) sisters: Linda Williams of Ocala, FL., Gloria Lewis of Minden, LA. And Bonnie Newby of Ocala, FL.; (6) Grandchildren: Dakotah Potts, Madison Potts, Muriel Potts, Tyler Kleine, Lauren Kleine and Hayden Kleine. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 1:00p.m. at Life Tabernacle Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Ocala, FL. with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, FL. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at Life Tabernacle Apostolic Pentecostal Church located at 2940 N.E. 35th Street Ocala, FL.
