Mary L. Abe, 87, of Tryon, NC passed away on April 1, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John and Jeannette Jones Bennett and widow of Merle Richard Abe.

She was a member of Old Furnace Church of the Brethren in Short Gap, WV and had attended Mill Creek Church of the Brethren for the last 5 years.

She is survived by her son Rev. Stephen Abe and wife Susan of Tryon, NC; their children, Joanna Abe Lam and husband Justin of Culpepper, VA and Stephanie Biser and husband Will of Oakland, MD; and their children Adeline and Oliver. And her daughter, Constance Reyes of San Clemente, CA and her daughter, Tabitha Adams and husband Tristan of San Clemente, CA; and their children, Ethan, Bryan, Logan and Isabella.

The family will have a receiving of friends with an informal time of sharing memories at Petty Funeral Home in Landrum, SC on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will take place at the Old Furnace Church of the Brethren with burial to follow in the Abe Cemetery in West Virginia.
