Mrs. Stella Adkins, 63, of White Oak, died Saturday at 12:35 a. m. in a Beckley hospital after a long illness.
Born March 29, 1915 in Raleigh County, she was a daughter of the late David and Effie Smith Bennett.
A lifelong resident of Raleigh County, Mrs. Adkins, attended the Little Country Curch at Cool Ridge.
Survivors include her husband, Kessler Adkins of White Oak; five sons, Kenneth at Piney View, Glenvile of Grandview, Jesse of White Oak, Glenis of Pawpaw, Mich., and Denzil of Beaver; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Ethelene) Bennett of Beaver; seven brothers, Kyle, of Del., Noah of White Oak, Carl, Earl, and John, all of Beckley, Edward, of Cleveland, Ohio and Omer of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Dexter Plumley, of Abraham, Mrs. Sona Pack, of Oak Hill, and Mrs. Ruth Pack of Nimitz; 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p. m. in the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at Abraham with the Rev. Donald Meador in charge. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Friends may call today from 6 p. m. to 9 p. m. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton.
The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Harold Bennett, Delbert Bennett, Arlo Bennett, Gary Bennett, Ray Dean Bennett, and Benny Pack.
