Pearl Marie Benoit Adams, 82, a native of Thibodaux, was born Aug. 24, 1931, and passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her former husband, Junius Hebert; children, Gary Hebert, Randall J. Hebert and spouse, Benita, and Lisa Silverii and spouse, Stan; step-children, Cindy Adams and Charles Adams Jr.; sister, Agnes Breaux; brother, Roy Benoit; grandchildren, Toby Lopasky, Marshall Hebert, Allison Zellman, Kelly Flippo, Melissa Collins, Brenen Hebert, Randi Hebert, Ashley Silverii and Hailey Silverii; nine great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Adams Sr.; parents, Wallace and Anita Benoit; brother, Harry Benoit; sister, Mabel Gonzales; stepchild, Connie A. Chiasson; and grandchild, Tyler Hebert.
She was the most loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a heart that was filled with love for all who knew her and had a huge passion for her family. She enjoyed life to its fullest and enjoyed attending every event possible for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time cooking, sewing and shopping. She was a volunteer at her church and for many charities. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
