Services for Axel Bergstedt, 82, of 2512 20th st., Zion, who died Tuesday with his pet dog, Scooter, when they were hit by a North Shore train at 21st street in Zion, will be held at 1:30 p. m. today in the chapel at 27th street and Ezekiel avenue, Zion.
Bergstedt and his dog, Scooter, were to be buried together, but his family was informed yesterday by Rollo Western, manager of the Northshore Garden of Memories cemetery, that burial of family pets there is not allowed.
A member of Bergstedt's family said Scooter would be buried on the grounds of the family home, where two other pets are buried.
