Shayleigh Berkenpas, 20 month old daughter of Rick and Tami Berkenpas, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Hegg Memorial Hospital, Rock Valley. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Monday at First Reformed Church, Rock Valley. Burial at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Shayleigh Renae Berkenpas was born October 6, 2009 at Rock Valley, daughter of Rick and Tami (Eshuis) Berkenpas. She was baptized at First Reformed Church. Shayleigh enjoyed the outdoors nature, and animals. Despite medical problems from birth, she always had a smile, was full of loves and kisses for all her family and friends, especially her 2nd mom, her sister Cheyenne.
She is survived by her parents Rick and Tami; sisters, Cheyenne, Sheridan, Shelby Berkenpas; grandmothers, Shirley Berkenpas and Dorothy Eshuis both of Rock Valley; uncles and aunts, Kevin (Julie) Berkenpas of Rock Valley, Cindy (Dave) Osborne of Polk City, IA, Kerri (Jeremy) Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, and Brent (Susan) Eshuis of Rock Valley.
She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Richard Berkenpas Jr. and Adolph Eshuis.
