Franklin News-Herald, Monday, Nov 23 1981:
Mrs. Dorothy L. Bardsley of 339 Pascack Road, Westwood, NJ, formerly of Franklin, died at 11:50 pm Sunday in Valley Hospital, Ridgwood, NJ, where she was admitted Nov. 19. Daughter of John C. and Doretta McFetridge Berline, she was born in Ashtabula, OH.

She moved to Franklin at an early age, attended public schools here, and graduated from Franklin High School. Before her marriage, she worked as a telephone operator for General Telephone Company of Pennsylvania. She left Franklin in 1953 when her husband went to prepare for the ministry, and since, they have served with several Baptist churches in different places, including Westwood the past 3 years. While here, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church.

On Oct. 10, 1950, she married Rev. Norman Bardsley and he survives, with a daughter, Mrs. David (Kathy) Rickey of Plainfield, CT; two granddaughters, Jennifer Jean Rickey and Melissa Dawn Rickey of Plainfield; her mother, Mrs. John C. (Doretta) Berlin of Franklin; a brother, Kenneth J. Berlin of Franklin; a sister, Miss Katherine E. Berlin of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

Services arrangements will be announced by Huff Chapel.
