Steve Berman, resident of Watsonville, 64 years old, died on June 4th, 2011 at his home. He had been in ill health for some time prior to his death. He was CEO and manager of Statewide Properties and Berman Enterprises in Watsonville and had been for many years. He was also an accomplished musician (guitarist) who played guitar at the old Cooper House and many clubs in the Santa Cruz area. He is survived by his son, Brian Berman of Santa Cruz, daughter Elaine Berman of Monterey, brother Les Berman of Santa Barbara, parents Aaron and Evelyn Berman of Saratoga, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his long time partner of many years Beverly Owens. Services and burial will be held in the chapel at Oak Hill Cemetery on June 10th, 2011 at 11am, located at 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125. Donations may be made to donors' favorite charity or Temple Emanuel located at 1010 University Avenue, San Jose, CA 95126.
