Consuela Angelee Bernau now rests in peace and became joyful with the Lord on November 10, 2008. Her first day of life was on August 25, 1958, in Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. She was happily married to William “Billy” Bernau on September 16, 1978. She fulfilled her dream of achieving her BSRN from UTMB in Galveston. As a nurse she was caring and full of compassion and genuinely loved everyone. She was a role model for the way people should treat one another.
Preceded in death by her parents Colonel John Miranda and Paula Miranda and her brother John Miranda, Jr., she is survived by her husband William Bernau; her children Sean Bernau and Miranda Bernau; grandchild Mariya Bernau; sisters Toni Miranda, Cindy O’Rourke and Ruth Richardson.
Family and friends are encouraged to attend memorial services to be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 12 p.m. at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City. Following the memorial service, a family and friends gathering will be held at 3433 Cove View Blvd. at Club of the Isle’s club-house in Galveston.
