Draper, UT-Andrew Daniel Berntsen, 31, of Draper, Utah, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at his home. Born on December 12, 1980 in Provo, Utah, to Michael and Diane Berntsen, Andrew was the sixth of seven children. Andrew was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He possessed a kind, gentle spirit, huge heart, and good-natured personality. Early childhood years included skateboarding, long boarding, baseball, skiing, hiking and camping with friends at Lake Havasu, AZ. Later years included a love for reggae, the Red Sox, golfing, cooking, and playing with nieces and nephews. A lover of music, he embodied the peacefulness of the reggae genre he loved so much. While his journey was filled with accomplishments and challenges, joy and pain, happiness and heartache, he continued to persevere and make great strides before his passing. He is survived by: Michael Berntsen (Eileen), Diane B. Berntsen, Vicki Jones (Jeff), Kent Berntsen (Angie), Lori Berntsen, Ryan Berntsen (Heather), Janell Aslett (Shay), Camille Hendricks (Mac), along with 11 nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr, SLC. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at a viewing this Thurs., Sept. 6 from 6-8 pm and Fri., Sept. 7, 10 - 10:45 am, followed by a Funeral Service Fri., at 11 am. Interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
