Hilda Mae Berringer, 87, Blockhouse, Lunenburg County, died Septemeber 6, 1993, in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia, Queens County. Born in Springfield, Annapolis County, she was a daughter of the late John and Alice (Rhodenizer) Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Frances Parks, Lower Sackville; son, Paul Barrett, Blockhouse; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Captain Harry Barrett; second husband, Hughie Berringer; son, Chester; a granddaughter, Judy; three brothers, Maurice, Wallace, Arthur; sister, Dorothy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. George Wawin officiating. Burial will be in Old Blockhouse Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to North Queens Nursing Home, Old Blockhouse Cemetery Fund or any charity.
