An immigrant farm boy who came to America at age 5, and entered the poultry industry in his teens and at one time organized six of the major west coast distributing firms into one giant company. He was known as the patriarch within the poultry industry and he was credited with developing many of the modern techniques of poultry marketing. At the time of his death he was president of the Northwest Poultry and Dairy Products of Oregon, the California Poultry Co. of San Francisco, vice president of Southern California Poultry Co. in Los Angeles and vice president of National Storage Co. of Los Angeles. In later years he also devoted his time to managing his many downtown real estate investments which included parking garages.
