George Edgar Biddle, known "on" the stage as George Edgar, died Saturday at his home, 73 West Eighty-eighth Street, at the age of sixty-eight from Bright's disease. In his day Mr. Biddle was identified with Shakespeareath drama, but it was not until he was forty years old that he showed any dramatic ability. Before that he had been a lawyer, and met, with much success in his profession. His first start was in Albany, and from that he toured the country. King Lear was his chief part. Mr. Biddle's last appearance on the stage was ten years ago. He leaves a wife, three daughters, and a son—Albert Biddle— New York Times, Monday, February 27, 1899.
