Gloria M. Billinger, 86, formerly of Reading, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, of natural causes at Berks Heim. Born in Reading on March 15, 1924, she w as the daughter of the late Charles and Rose Gumpert.

She was employed as an order clerk at Pennsylvania Optical Company, Reading, for 32 years. She retired in 1979. She served in the U.S. Marines as a Sgt. in World War II, leaving with an honorable discharge. She was a loving person and grateful for her friendships. She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Gloria is survived by a stepsister, Mary Salena, widow of Earl Deeter of West Reading.
Gloria is also survived by a stepniece, Rosemary Deeter. She was predeceased by a stepsister, Gladys Krow.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Chapel of the Resurrection, Gethsemane Cemetery, at 10 a.m, on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011.
