Carol J. Billinger (nee Anderson) Age 62, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born July 3, 1947 in Joliet, to Adele (nee Prange) and the late Richard K. Anderson, she was a lifetime resident. A graduate of St. Francis Academy, Class of 1965. Beloved mother of Jeffrey (Lori) Billinger of Charlotte, N.C. and Robert (Colleen) Billinger of Plainfield; loving and devoted grandmother of Anne and Emme; also surviving are her beloved mother, Adele; three brothers, Thomas (Jean), Charles (Carol) and John (Deborah) Anderson; her nieces and nephews, Carrie (Ted) Tahquechi, and Brian (Sarah); Caitlyn and Cody; Alicia, Ashley and Jacob Anderson; and several cousins. Preceded in death by her father. Carol was employed at the Walgreens on Theodore and Essington for 10 years, and previously at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, primarily in the cafeteria, for 18 years. A member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Cantigny Post #367. She adored her grandchildren and will fondly be remembered as a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Funeral services for Carol Billinger will be Monday, September 21, 2009, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Crest Hill, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 4-8 p.m.
