Robert C. Billings, of Faulkner, Page & Co., died at his home in Jamaica Plain yesterday. He was 80 years of age and had been ill for six months past.
Mr. Billings was born in Boston, Jan. 3, 1818. He was educated in the public schools and graduated from the Boston Latin School. He entered the employ of Thomas Tarbell & Co., and was later admitted as a member of the firm, which later changed its name to Faulkner, Kimball & Co., and is now Faulkner, Page & Co.
He was wholly absorbed in his business and gave little time to other matters. He built a fine residence in Jamaica Plain, where he has since lived. He has been ill for the past six months.
Mr. Billings was twice married, but leaves no children.
