He served as the lead Erie School District police officer until retiring in 1981. Prior to that, he worked at Erie Forge and Steel. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and then enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph "Bing," Anthony "Flip" and William "Bill" Bilotti; a sister, Philomena "Petie" Bilotti Capozziello; and a grandson, Roman Edward Foll.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Leona Graczyk Bilotti; two daughters, Gina Bilotti Foll and her husband, Edward, and Tammy Bilotti-Roessler and her husband, Jon, all of Erie, two sons, Salvatore Bilotti of Erie and Albert W. Bilotti and his wife, Stephanie, of Tampa, Fla.; four sisters, Mary Bilotti Leonardi, Genevieve "Jay" Bilotti Danner, Anna Bilotti Nolan and her husband, Jerome, and Angeline "Maisie" Bilotti Scutella, all of Erie; a brother, Samuel "Sam" Bilotti and his wife, Elizabeth, of Erie; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Entombment will be at Mary, Queen of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum with full military honors.
