BINION, ANNE (MERCER), age 77, of Winnfield, LA, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004 in Birmingham, AL. She was a Registered Nurse and was retired from the Winn Parish Medical Center. Mrs. Binion was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, LA.
She was the daughter of the late P. Hugh Mercer and the late Lois (Harlan) Mercer.
She is survived by her daughter, Angel Askins and her husband Mike of Birmingham, AL; one son, Tommy Dean and wife Denise of Birmingham, AL; one sister, Doris Jean Sikes of Winnfield, LA; six grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Alexandra, Madeline, Danielle, and Julianne.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, 202 E. Lafayette St., Winnfield, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, July 24, 2004 and from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM Sunday, July 25, 2004. Funeral Service will be at First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 25, 2004, Rev. Lindsey Burns officiating. Interment will be at Garden Of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, LA.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Coleman Hudson, Wayne Coleman, Jim Sikes, Brian Hollingsworth, Matthew Sikes, and Patrick Sikes.
