Abbie Louise Binion (1917 - 2011)
Abbie Louise Binion, 93, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Abbie was born on the homestead in Resaca, Ga. She moved to Texas to follow her husband's career in the aviation electronic industry. She had a green thumb for growing just about anything, and she grew plants until the very end. Abbie was a great Cowboys, Rangers and Mavericks fan. She watched them every time they were on TV. She will be missed by all including her cats, Pretty and Peekaboo, and her parrot, J.T.
Abbie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Binion; her son, David Binion; brothers, Bill and Andy; sister, Susie; granddaughter, Cheryl; and great-granddaughter, Rachel.
Survivors: Sons, Tom and wife, Judy, John and wife, Kathy, Robert and Joe; grandchildren, Tom, Chris, Jerry, Debra, David, Johnny, Danny, Bobby, Camille, Megan and Colin; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and extended family and friends.
