Employed at the Orange Shoe Manuf. Co., he entered military service on Aug. 24, 1942. Battles and Campaigns included Northern France, Rhineland and Ardennes. He received the Purple Heart, American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal, EAME Campaign Ribbon. Ernest was discharged 15 Nov. 1946.
