FLEMINGTON -- Anna M. Bell, 83, of Flemington died Friday (Feb. 4, 2005) in Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township. Born May 2, 1921, in Whitehouse, daughter of the late Melvin and Anna Mae Stires Bishop, she formerly resided in Cokesbury before moving to Flemington 40 years ago.
She was formerly a waitress at Circle Diner, Flemington, then at Flemington Family Restaurant. For several years, she was employed by Hunterdon YMCA Before and After School Program at Robert Hunter School, Raritan Township, retiring in 2003.
She was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington.
Her husband, Stanley Bell, died in 1961.
Surviving are three sons, Stanley and James Bell, both of Flemington, and Edward Bell of Gainesville, Fla.; two daughters, Frances Bass of Flemington and Anne Suk of Bridgewater; a brother, Howard Bishop of Lakewood; two sisters, Evelyn Galinat of Linden and Ruth Matches of Tampa, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington. Interment will be private in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. For further information, please visit www. holcombefisher.com.
