Lillie Marriette (Bissell) Meyer Adkison, 90 of Elgin, Oregon died Wednesday, Sept 11, 1992, at the Mountain Vista Care Center. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. thursday 12 September 1992 at the Masonic Cemetery in Tumwater, Washington.
Mrs. Adkison was born on December 31, 1900, at Fort Myers, Florida to Bradley L. and Dorothead (Meyer) Bissell. She was married to Thomas Meyer. After they divorced Lillie later married William Carlton (Carl) Adkison, who died on July 16, 1971.
Mrs. Adkison lived in Olympia, Washington for several years before moving to Elgin on May 5, 1990, to be near her son. She was active in senior citizen groups and enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and doing handicrafts. Survivors include her son Bradley (Valeen) Meyer of Elgin; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Her former husband Tom, a son Frederick Thomas (Tommy) and two grandchildren died earlier.
Arrangements are being handled by Daniels Valley Funeral Chapel in La Grande, Oregon.
