Mrs. Bateman was the Assistant Postmaster of Jamison, PA for 25 years until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of Warwick Presbyterian Church in Bucks County and was a former Royal Grand Matron of the Amaranth and member of the court in Buckingham, PA.
Surviving are a son William E. Bateman and his partner Randy S. Schaeffer with whom she last resided, a daughter Judith A. (Bateman) wife of Larry Mumbauer of East Greenville, PA, 3 grandchildren Lorina (Mumbauer) wife of Jonathan Setman, Daniel L. Mumbauer and Thomas W. Bateman, 3 great grandchildren Alison Setman, Kassandra Setman and Jonathan H. Setman, and a brother Alfred Black of Florida. She was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Joseph.
