Mrs. Jean Barrett, wife of Walter Barrett of 257 North McKean St. died Wednesday afternoon March 9, 1949, at 5:50 p.m in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness.

Mrs. Barrett was born in Rimerton, a daughter of the late Adam and Jane (Hutchison) Black.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Kerr of West Kittanning and Mrs. Eva Sullivan of Union City; two brothers, Frank Black, Kittanning, R.D.#3, and William Black, West Kittanning.

Friends are being received in the Montgomery Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Walter Kennedy, pastor of the Templeton and Goheenville Presbyterian Churches will officiate.

Burial will be made in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
