She was born Feb. 6, 1906, in Alpha, N.J., and came to the Charlotte County area 29 years ago from Stamford, Conn. She attended Mt. Sinai School of Nursing, graduated from McAlister School of Mortuary Science, now the American Academy in New York City, was a clerk at St. David's Thrift Shop, and was female attendant for Walter B. Cook Funeral Home.
She was a funeral director, was past president of American Legion Unit 135 in White Plains, N.Y., and was a homemaker for 67 years. She was a member of Episcopal Holy Trinity Church in Easton, Pa.
Survivors include sons Earle S. Jr. of South Carolina and Harris J. of Greenwich, Conn.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be conducted in Easton, Pa. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Paul Schelm Funeral Home in Port Charlotte is in charge.
