Mrs. Hauttie Virginia Babbitt, 81, died at Forest Oaks Nursing Home Thursday, Aug. 9.
Rev. Doyle Combs officiated at funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, in Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Marvin Andrews, Mike Kirkland, Kenneth Kirkland, Darrell Babbitt, Gary Babbitt, Bernard Andrews and Gilbert Donald.
Mrs. Babbitt was the daughter of Henry and Clara Gordon Blackwell. She was born in Jonesboro April 23, 1903. She was a Baptist. She married Jeff Babbitt, a building contractor, in Coryell County on March 14, 1920. They lived in Hamilton most of their married life. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Allan Babbitt and Artie Babbitt, two daughters, Lucille Lawson and Carol Ann McDonald; one sister, Audrey Andrews; two brothers, Oscar Blackwell and Arthur Blackwell; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
