Albin Clarence Blake was born on January 17, 1927 at 123 Duke Street in Kearny, New Jersey. His parents were Thomas Blake (1886-1965) and Evangeline Anna Thomae Blake (1899-1990). Albin was confirmed at Christ Church in Harrison, New Jersey on Friday, March 17, 1939. He and his brother Charles were both choir boys at Christ Church. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Fellowship, Jr. No. 6 of the I.O.O.F.M.U. (Independent Order of Odd Fellows). Albin graduated from Washington Junior School in Kearny on January 31,1941. At the end of World War II (1944-1946), Albin served in the U.S. Navy with the coastal control and was a member of the crew of the U.S.S. Wyoming. After boot camp he bounced around the United States, New York, Virginia, North Carolina etc... They tested ammunition and trained gunners. After the war, Albin worked for Worthington Pump and Machinery Corporation. He was also a member of the Masons Abacus Lodge No. 182 in Long Branch, New Jersey. Albin married Patricia Ann Woolley (1930-1989) on October 13, 1948. They had four children (one boy and three girls). For 31 years he worked for the Otis Elevator Co. Albin and Pat divorced, and Albin married Yun Fang "Jane" Hsieh from Taiwan on June 19, 1986. The ceremony took place in Los Vegas, Nevada. They lived in West Covina, California and visited Taiwan. In his later years, Albin enjoyed decorating the exterior of their house for Chistmas and working on Rose Parade floats. Albin Clarence Thomae died on February 24, 2005 in West Covinia and he was buried at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
