Audrey Blanchard Bergeron, age 86, a native of New Orleans and resident of Ocean Springs, MS for the past 6 years, passed away on June 23, 2011, at the Singing River Hospital in Ocean Springs.
Audrey leaves behind five generations of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Born on May 2, 1925 to the late Arthur J. Blanchard, Sr. and Noelie Landry Blanchard. Loving mother of Carol Lee Delcuze' Cantin (Benjamin), Betty Tedesco Bacino (Jim) and Floyd J. Bergeron, Jr.
Survived by seven grandchildren, Clifford L. Claverie, III., Carla Marie Claverie Madden, Scott A. Claverie, Todd M. Claverie, Mark J. Bacino, Jan-Marie E. Bacino, and Chloe Bergeron, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Sister of the late Arthur J. Blanchard, Jr.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services at Lakelawn Metarie Funeral Home,, 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery), on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Lakelawn. Interment will follow in Lakelawn Mausoleum
The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to all of the Caregivers in the Singing River-Ocean Springs Hospital, Sunplex Subacute Center, and Villa Maria Retirement Apartments for the thoughtful and compassionate manner in which they cared for "Miss Audrey".
