Margaret Theresa Blanchard Acosta, a native and resident of Pierre Part, passed away Friday May 16, 2014 at her residence.
She was 76. She was a former owner and operator of Margaret's Florist, and was a Parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter; Dolores Crochet and husband Leonce, of Pierre Part, 3 sons; Nathan Acosta and wife Pam, of Kingwood, TX, David Acosta and wife Lisa, of Pierre Part, Kevin Acosta and wife Suzette of Lafayette. 2 sisters; Dora Hebert and husband Gleason, and Hilda Landry and husband Ines both of Pierre Part. 7 grandchildren; Holly Young and husband Joshua, Jason Crochet and wife Kristin, Tiffany Guitreau and husband Wade, Kayla Mathews and husband Kyle, and Jeremy Acosta , Logan Acosta, and Luke Acosta. 6 great grandchildren; Ryley, Ian and Ella Young, Collin and Peyton Crochet and Olivia Guitreau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Abel and Louise Blanchard, her husband; Johnny Acosta, a daughter; Melinda Acosta, and a brother Haywood Blanchard.
