Funeral services for Bertha Janete Adams, 74, of Coushatta, LA were at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Bethany Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was born July 5, 1940 in Coushatta, LA and passed away June 3, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Pearl and Hoss Blanchard; and two brothers, Glen Blanchard and H. E. “Perk” Blanchard.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, Herschel Adams; one son, Steve Adams and wife, Gail; one daughter, Charlotte Layfield; 10 grandchildren, Tanya Sullivan and husband, Chris, Tasha Smith, Tiffany Adams, Micheal Adams and wife, Crissy, Chris Adams, Dillan Adams, Rachel Jarnagin, Christina Jarnagin, Adam Jarnagin and wife, Ashley, Dustin Layfield and wife, Cassie; and countless great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Blanchard; three sisters, June Koppie, Elizabeth Perot, and Judy Cardino.
Pallbearers were Quentonn Jarnagin, Bubba Jarnagin, Weston Sullivan, Cody Sullivan, Chris Sullivan, and Corey Layfield.
Honorary pallbearers were Kadon Cook and Brandon Sullivan.
