Mrs. Lucy J. Lord, 58, of 300 Barnhart Rd., wife of Elmer Lord, died suddenly about 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Apr. 8, 1958, at her home.
She had been in ill health about a year but her death came suddenly and unexpectedly.
The body is remaining at the Reagan Funeral Chapel, Main St., until 9 Friday morning when services will be held in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Malone.
Mrs. Lord was born May 16, 1899 in St. Hyacinthe, Que. and was educated in Canada. In 1916 she and Frank Bissonette were married and he died in 1931. On June 1, 1934 she and Elmer Lord were married in Notre Dame Church, Malone. they have lived in Massena for many years.
She was a member of Massena Chapter 729, Women of the Moose, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Mothers' Service Club. The Moose Women conducted services at the funeral home last night.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Dorothy) Benware of Massena and Mrs. George (Elizabeth) White, Buffalo; a son, George Bissonette, with the Air Force in South Dakota; a sisters, Mrs. Edesse Lamarre, Montreal; a half-sister, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Albright, Malone, and five grandchildren.
