Our precious Mother passed away peacefully with grace and dignity on Monday, May 19, 2008 at the age of 95 years. She was a native Calgarian who moved to Nordegg, Red Deer then back to Calgary. Julia was a dignified lady of small stature, caring for everyone first before herself. She had freezers full of her baking and a heart full of love for her family. Julia said goodbye to all her family on an individual basis and thanks God for giving her the opportunity. We will deeply miss her.

Julia's family consists of Guy (Terry), Raymond, Frances Manna (Joe), Andrew (Connie), Patricia Kiss (Steven), Laura Tysowski (Albert), Ernest (Beverly), Philip (Linda); twenty-one grandchildren and spouses; thirty great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law Mary Havig, Mafalda Marasco and Joan Lichak. Julia was predeceased by her youngest son Mark in 1990; her husband Guido in 2001 (founder of Bighorn Transport Ltd.); parents Philippo (Victoria) Poscente; sister Pierina (Botcha) Ferrazzutti and brother Geno (Kay) Poscente.

Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (640 - 19 Avenue N.W.) on May 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service at St. Joseph's Section, Queen's Park Cemetery.

"Be strong and God bless you all.
Keep on trucking."
