Elvira married Giovanino (Giovetino), also known as John, in Antrodoco, Italy. Their first two children were born there. Giovanino sent for his family, and Elvira, Angelo, and Anna made the long journey through Ellis Island, arriving in Nordegg in July 1927. The younger sons, John and Chester, were born in Nordegg and later settled in Calgary.
