Date: 1903-09-17; Paper: Prescott Morning Courier page 3
About midnight Tuesday, Sept 15, 1903, Mrs. Maggie L. Bassengame, aged 26 years, died at her residence on south Marina street, Prescott. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn this saddest of all losses, the wife and mother, and the sympathetic cord is touched in the hearts of all men when such a loss occurs. It is not necessary to be acquainted with the household where the sad visitation falls to feel this sympathy, for it springs spontaneous from the hearts of all who know the meaning of the words "wife" and "mother." The funeral will take place from the family residence at 11 a.m. today. Members of Aztlan Lodge, F. and A.M. and I.O.O.F. Lodge will attend the funeral.
