GLENROY G BLATZ

Glenroy G. Blatz, 68, of Kiel, died Friday evening May 7, 1999 at his home.
He was born August 30, 1930, in the town of Taycheedah son of the late Gregor and Adela (Wagner) Blatz. He was a graduate of Kiel high School class of 1948. He also attended UW-Madison. From 1951 until 1953 Glenroy was a member of United States Marine corps. On Nov. 10, 1962, he married the former Henrietta Pask at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.

Until his retirement in 1996, Glenroy was employed by H.G. Weber for 39 years. At the time of his retirement he held the position of design engineer. He was an active member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was also a lifelong member of the Kiel Fish and Game, during which time he held a variety of offices, was involved in many projects, committees, and club improvements. Most recently he was on the banquet committee. Glenroy enjoyed trap shooting, pheasant hunting and his springer spaniel, fishing, bowling and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Hennie; their children, Paula (Rick) Ninmer of New Holstein, Barry (Kay) Blatz of Kiel, Jenny Blatz and her fiancé Nick York of Kiel; five grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Marvin (Arlene) Blatz of Kiel and Eugene (Doris) Blatz of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters, Mary Jane (James) Platz of Howards Grove and Jerrann (James) Endures of Valders. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles "Chuck" Blatz and one sister-in-law, Jeanette Blatz.

Funeral Mass will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
