Henrietta M. “Hennie” Blatz, of Kiel died Saturday afternoon January 2, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born Henrietta Pask on October 19, 1940 in Columbus, daughter of the late Henry & Ann (Scipior) Pask. Hennie was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School.

On November 10, 1962 she married Glenroy Blatz at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Hennie worked for many years at Evans in Kiel, she was the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Delivery Manager and most recently worked at Walmart in Chilton until her retirement. Hennie was an active member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She served on the Liturgy Committee, was a Eucharistic Minister to local nursing homes, was active with the prayer line and was a member of the Christian Women. Her greatest joy was the time she could spend with her grandchildren. They were such a big part of her life and meant everything to her. In her free time she was an avid reader and loved learning about history. She also was a longtime Brewers fan and loved watching Nascar.

Survivors include her children; Paula Ninmer (Larry Belonger), New Holstein, Barry (Kay) Blatz, Kiel, Jenny (John) Pernat, Sheboygan Falls, grandchildren; Courtney Ninmer (Patrick Schwarz), Garrick & Davis Ninmer, Lydia Blatz (Eric Daun), Samantha & Serena Blatz, Skylar (Rocky) Schmidt, Travis & Stefanie Pernat, great grandchildren; Arrietty & Eli. She is further survived by two sisters; Dorothy Dykstra, Phyllis (Willis “Jim”) Heidemann, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Arlene Blatz, Eugene Blatz, Mary Jane (James) Platz, Jerriann (James) Endries along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Glenroy, a son; Charles “Chuck”, brothers-in-law; Marvin Blatz & James Dykstra and sister-in-law; Jeanette Blatz. Funeral Mass for Hennie will be celebrated on Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 6:00pm at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church (413 Fremont St. Kiel) with Fr. Pat Nelson, Deacon Jim Heidemann and Deacon Pat Knier officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 3:00pm until 5:45pm when we will have brief family rites. Burial will take place in the Parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Hennie's name. Hennies family would like to thank all the compassionate and caring nurses and staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for the wonderful care she received.
