She was born Nov. 11, 1915, in St. Anna, town of New Holstein, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Silvernagel) Hanke. She attended grade schools in St. Anna and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1934. She was a homemaker all of her life. She married Norbert Blatz on July 1, 1937, at St. Ann Church, St. Anna. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein; Christian Mother’s Society; and a long-time Red Cross volunteer in Mt. Calvary and New Holstein.
Survivors include her husband, Norbert; one son, Robert (Jellane), Orchard Rd., New Holstein; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
