Janet Elaine Anseeuw was born on December 25, 1939 to parents Miles Blood and Margaret Blood Reynolds. She attended Canby Public School. She was united in marriage to Larry Anseeuw on September 14, 1957, together they raised five children.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and very much enjoyed the fellowship with the congregation. She was also member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Hospital Auxiliary. She always said some of her greatest times were shooting on pool leagues and she helped her team win many tournaments. She liked stock car races and watching her husband and son race. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and Bingo with the girls. She was an excellent cook and people would come from miles around for her hashbrown potatoes, she won a contest for her awesome chili. She was an awesome Grandma and always enjoyed watching her grandchildren in sports, plays and dance recitals. She also loved the time she spent at their home on Lake Cochrane where she loved to fish and enjoyed the serenity.

She worked at the Midway Café and the Canby Liquor Store before owning and operating Ansee’s Supper Club. She also helped her husband with Minn-Dak Amusement for many years and was instrumental in helping get the VNEA pool league up and running in the area. When they sold both businesses she went to work for the Canby Hospital, True Value and for the last 18 years she was employed by Runnings. She took pride in her work and was complimented by her bosses for being reliable and always on time.

She enjoyed life to the fullest creating many beautiful memories with family and friends and could light up a room with her infectious bright smile.

Grateful for having shared her life is her husband of 59 years, Larry; four children: Robert “Bob” (Darlene) Anseeuw of Canby, MN, Laurie (Scott) Bliss of Canby, MN, Diana Pihlaja of Menagha, MN, William “Bill” (Sue) Anseeuw of Canby, MN; 14 grandchildren: Grant Anseeuw, Jeremy, Charles, and James Anseeuw, Kandyce (Eric) Johnson, Keniesha Bliss, Kendall Bliss and Brandon Stripling, Derek, Arielle and Shelby Pihlaja, Brandi, Amanda, and Chance Anseeuw; Six great-grandchildren: Rayne Anseeuw, Kiyanna and Erilynn Johnson, Brody Berends, Nora Bliss and Abigail Anseeuw; brother, Tom Blood, Crosby/Ironton, MN; sister-in-law Evelyn Lozinski; many nieces and nephews.
