BOURNE — Kenneth C. Bloomfield Sr., beloved Yankee fan, age 68, of Bourne passed away suddenly Sunday, April 18, 2010.

He was born March 16, 1942, in Ilion, N.Y. He graduated from Richfield Springs Central in 1960 where he was the treasurer of his class for 4 years. On April 28, 1962, he was united in marriage to Karen F. Bloomfield in Richfield Springs, N.Y., a blessed union of 47 years. Licensed from the board of Plumbers and Gasfitters. He retired from managing at Suburban Propane in 2004. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for 32 years. In 1981 he received his 1st degree in Free Masonry and his 32nd degree in 1989.

Survivors include his wife, daughters Penny and her husband Kenny Kimbrough, Susan, Rachel and her husband Daniel Ricker, sons Kenneth Jr. and wife Danika, Scott and his wife Carin. His cherished grandchildren Casey, David, Amy, Nicholas, Ashley, Tyler and Kenny II. Brothers Allen and his wife Barbara, Tom and his wife Patricia.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., at Route 151, Mashpee. A Masonic Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at South Monument Cemetery (aka Monument Beach Cemetery), County Road, Bourne. Coalition will follow at the Weary Travelers Club in Bourne.
