Mr. James "Little Boy Blue" Blue 83, of Dale and widower of Florence Blue, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM Saturday. June 22, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Dale. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.

Wake Services: 7 to 8 PM Friday in the Joseph M. Wright Memorial Chapel of Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home For Funerals.

He was born June 15, 1930 on Lady's Island, SC, to the late Henry and Lula Williams Blue. The family migrated to the Dale Community of Beaufort County where he received his formal education in the local community school.

On January 28th 1954, he was joined in holy matrimony to Florence Herbert and to this union three children were born.

Affectionately called "Little Boy", James work for 47 years at the Seat & Leather Company in Newark, New Jersey before returning to the family home in Dale, SC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years; daughter, Evelyn Shaw; granddaughter, Lenora Blue; brother, Jessie Blue; uncle, Benjamin Blue and aunt, Nancy Blue Singleton.
