Sybil Blume Baker, 98, formerly of Faris Circle, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013.

Born in Chester, SC, she was the Vice President and Secretary of Baker Manufacturing Company.

For over sixty years, she was a member of the Clarice Wilson Garden Club, serving as President in 1955. She also served as President of the Greenville Women's Club and was active at Pendleton Street Baptist Church and Eastlan Baptist Church.

Sybil is survived by one brother, Donald Blume of Charlotte, NC; nieces Joyce Hancock of Enterprise, AL, and Linda Fordam of Chester, SC; several other nieces and nephews; close friends and caregivers, Cecil and Mildred Buchanan and Greg and Cherron Saad.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Baker and son, Richard (Rick) Carl Baker.

The family would like to express its deep appreciation to the staff of The Haven at Chanticleer for its excellent care. Special thanks to Anita Carter and her Serenity Care staff for their loving support and exceptional devotion.

Services will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, with the Rev. William R. West, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:15 until service time at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cecil D. Buchanan War Museum, PO Box 133, Greenville, SC 29605.
