Charlene Bobo Abernathy, age 80, of Halls died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Jackson General Hospital of Jackson, TN.
Charlene was born August 30, 1935 in Shannon, MS. She is the daughter of the late Leonard Carlton and the late Lottie Mae (McDivitt) Bobo.
She is survived by her husband: Lamar Abernathy Jr. of 64 years , two daughters: Vicki (Mike) Curran of Halls, TN, Angela Carol Abernathy Meeks of Halls, TN and one son: Lanny ( Judy ) Abernathy of Newbern, TN; Sister of two sisters: Callie Ruth Leggett of Curve, TN, Linnie Mae Gilliland of Frog Jump, TN and one brother: Thomas Howard Bobo of Shannon, MS;
Predeceased by her sister, Mary Frances Erwin, sister, Betty Jean Erwin.
The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 24 at Elon Baptist Church, Halls, TN with Bro. Don Williams and Bro. Charles Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Abernathy Family Cemetery, Halls, TN.
Calling hours will be Monday, November 23 from 5-8pm at Elon Baptist Church.
