Mrs. Alvey, a McCracken County native, was a member of High Point Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are four daughters. Aline Butler, Mary E. Kern and Phillis Kay Cox of Paducah and Janice R. Ellis of Houston; five sons, Edmond Alvey, Billy Alvey, Ernest Alvey and Charles Alvey of Paducah and Kenneth Alvey of Mount Vernon, Ind.; three sisters, Sue Conner, Bertie Mayo and Ruth Owens of Paducah; two brothers, Morris Bobo and Robert Bobo of Paducah; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thornton E. Alvey, five brothers and a sister. Her parents were John M. and Sarah C. Bobo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. The Rev. Denver M. Shelton will officiate, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
