He was the husband of Josephine Schoonbeck Bol; father of Mrs. Laurence Brownsey of Niskayuna, Mrs. Peter Iannacone of Latham and the late Cornelius Bol Jr.; brother of Leonard Bol of Albany and the late John Bol. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
