Funeral services for Mrs. Dianne Beauty Bolden, 45, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church on the Old Port Barre Road in Opelousas with burial in the church cemetery.The Rev. Raphael Freeman, assisted by The Rev. Harry Richard, will conduct the services.
Mrs. Bolden died at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 1997, in Opelousas General Hospital.
She was a Deaconess at Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church, treasurer of the Senior Home Mission, a member of the Senior Choir, Sunday School Dept., Matron and the Pastors' Aide Committee.
Survivors include: her husband, Elbert Bolden of Opelousas; her parents, Melvin and Mable Beauty Sr. of Houma; a son, Christopher Torrod Ned of Opelousas; a stepson, Durphy Devon Thomas of Opelousas; a stepdaughter, Katina Lanece Smith of Opelousas; three brothers, Edward Joseph Beauty and Melvin Beauty Jr., both of Houma, and Marvin Beauty of Raceland; and eight sisters, Elaine Smith, Rosie M. Mitchell, Josie M. Beauty, Rebecca B. Scott, Brenda L. Parker and Lianna B. Coleman, all of Houma, Lorraine Coleman of Gray and Katherine Beamon of Thibodaux.
Mrs. Bolden was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Daniel Ned.
A wake will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church, Old Port Barre Road, Opelousas.
