Mrs. Sophia Arnhold, wife of Fred Arnhold, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Saginaw County Infirmary Hospital after a lingering illsess. Sophia Bolger was born January 19, 1875 in Rhinehard, Russia, and came to America in 1906, settling in Saginaw. On February 4, 1897 in Russia she was married to Gottleib Rasch. He passed away in Saginaw April 28, 1928. In October 1928, she was married here to Fred Arnhold. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bond and Court Streets. Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Arft, Mrs. Conrad Brethauer, and Mrs. Julius Martin, all of Saginaw; one stepson, Alex Arnhold, of Saginaw; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; also one sister and one brother, Mrs. Katherine Wagner of Port Huron, John Bolger of Saginaw.....burial in Oakwood Cemetery...
