Carmella Bolivar of Kalispell passed away on March 18, 2009, at the age of 85 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 28, 1923, in Chicago, to her parents, Vincenzo (Vincent) James Piscopo (from Acerra, Naples, Italy) and Lillian (Stidham) Piscopo (from Birmingham, Ala.).
Carmella was educated in the Chicago school system. After a few years of working, she met and married Henry Tumborello. They lived in Chicago where they had two boys, Henry Tumborello Jr., and Joseph Tumborello. They remained married for eight years.
Later Carmella met and married Donald J. Jensen from Chicago, and they lived there for about four years. They had a daughter, Donnie Carmella Jensen. They soon moved northwest to Fox River Grove, Ill. She and Donald were married for 20 years.
Four or so years later, she met and married Lazaro Bolivar from Elgin, Ill. They first lived in the home in Fox River Grove, then moved to Elgin, and then to Genoa City, Wis. After Carmella's daughter Donnie, and granddaughter Billie moved to Montana, Carmella and Lazaro soon followed. Carmella and Lazaro were married for 32 years.
Carmella enjoyed cooking, entertaining, working in the yard and traveling. She loved getting to see her three great-grandchildren laugh, play and entertain her (and that they did) when they would visit her. She especially loved Parker who recently got to spend more time with her. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Lazaro Bolivar, of Kalispell; a son, Henry Tumborello Jr., and his wife, Sandra, of Frankfort, Ill.; a daughter, Donnie Meek, and her husband, Richard, of Bigfork; granddaughters, Billie J. Roberts and her husband, Ryan, of Kalispell, Anne Marie Tumborello of Atlanta, Angela Reitz of Columbia, Md., and Betty Fuller of Milwaukee, Wis.; five great-grandchildren, Carson, Madeline and Parker Roberts of Kalispell, and Rachel and Noah Fuller of Milwaukee; two stepgranddaughters, Autumn Drey and her husband, Aaron, of Milwaukie, Ore., and Britney Meek of Bigfork; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Cohen and Wyatt Drey, of Milwaukie, Ore.; a sister, Marie Owens, and her husband, Kenneth, of Hobart, Ind.; half brother, Joseph Piscopo, and his wife, Karen, of Phoenix; half brother, James Piscopo, of Chicago; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carmella was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Lillian Piscopo; two previous husbands, Henry Tumborello and Donald J. Jensen; a son, Joseph Tumborello; a half sister, Dolly Piscopo; a stepbrother, George Groves; and a stepsister, Lillian Tumbarello.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. on March 28, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at 1100 W. Reserve Dr., Kalispell.
