DIED.
BOLL-Catherine Boll, wife of Mr. John Boll, died at her home on the John McCroskey farm, July 21, 1887, aged 42 years, 9 months and 15 days.
The deceased was born in Germany and with her husband and children came to this country about four years ago, making their home in Davenport. Early last spring the family moved to the McCroskey farm, Mr. Boll having the contract for putting in tiling on the farm.
The family were almost wholly unacquainted with the English language making it difficult to make known their wants. Deceased was sick about two weeks. There are five children to mourn her departure. A brief funeral service was held at the home on the following day conducted by Rev. A. W. Thompson.
