A.A. BOMBECK IS DEAD.
For Thirty-Five Years He Had Been
a Kansas Cityan.
August A. Bombeck, for many years a resident of Kansas City, died yesterday morning at his residence, 1410 Wyandotte street. The funeral will be held from the family residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment at Union cemetery.
Mr. Bombeck was born in Ritlein, Germany, fifty-eight years ago and came to the United States when 17 years of age. He first lived with his parents at St. Louis, Missouri, next at Hannibal, Missouri, and then he came to Kansas City in 1862. He was one of the pioneer business men of the city, having established himself in business on North Main street soon after coming to the city. About fifteen years ago, when his health began to fail, he retired ad gave his attention to blooded horses.
He had been confined to his room for the last month. He leaves a wife and six children - Mrs. J.E. Hayden, Mrs. C.M. Whitaker, Misses Catherine and Mamie Bombeck, and Edgar and Charles Bombeck.
